Tips for Getting Ready on Your Wedding Day

Getting ready for your wedding day is an exciting time and should be as relaxing as possible!

Here's some simple things you can do as you are getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life:

  1. Enjoy every moment! You will never get this day back and it's important you enjoy it to the fullest. After all, you're getting your hair and makeup done with all your besties - what could be better than that?!

  2. Stay hydrated - with water, not just champagne! When you're in the midst of getting ready for your big day it's easy to forget to drink water. Water keeps you hydrated and prevents you from feeling lethargic. You don't want to feel tired on your wedding day.

  3. Don't forget to eat! This seems like an easy one, but when you have so much going on it is easy to forget to eat. Before your actual wedding day, appoint someone to bring breakfast and lunch so no one goes hungry.

  4. Your groom is perfectly fine! He is. Seriously! I know it's easy to worry about what he is doing but it will only put more stress on you. Try to focus on yourself during this time.

  5. Take some alone time if you need it! If you're feeling overwhelmed and just need a minute to catch your breath don't be afraid to step away from everyone and breathe.

  6. Wear something comfy with buttons so you don't mess up your hair or makeup! There is nothing worse than pulling a shirt over your freshly done hair and makeup.

  7. Breathe!!! Practice taking big deep breaths in and exhaling slowly. This will help calm your nerves.

  8. Plan your reveals with your mom, bridesmaids, etc! You don't want to miss these moments on camera. When they say a picture is worth a thousand words, these types of pictures are what they are referring to.

  9. Turn on some music! Music always helps lighten the mood and gets everyone excited. It will help you relax and have some fun.

  10. Assign someone to keep the room tidy to help with your stress and it's ideal for photos! You don't want lots of things laying around the room and then see them later in your photos. This can ruin the aesthetic. Plus, a clean room also makes the situation much less stressful.

Now, get ready for your big day and have some fun doing so! You'll never get this day back.
