The circular arch has grown in popularity with brides over the years. It’s a beautiful accent and backdrop as the bride and groom say ‘I do!’. Inspired, by one of our most recent brides DIY skillz, here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can make your own floral circular wedding arch.
1. Buy a Plain Gold Circular Arch
Start by purchasing some type of circular arch. It doesn't have to be anything too fancy since you are going to jazz it up. Once it arrives at your doorstep, then you'll start to do the fun stuff.
2. Purchase Pool Noodles
Next, find some green pool noodles you want to use for the base. You won't be able to actually see the noodles when it is all said and done. You're going to take each of the pool noodles and start wrapping it around the perimeter of the arch. You will either need to slide them onto the perimeter before putting it together or you can cut down the pool noodles and wrap them around if it is already put together. If you attach them by wrapping them, you can use a hot glue gun to get it fully attached.
3. Pick Out Your Florals
Pick out any florals that go with your theme; pinks, whites, greens, blues, or anything in-between. They can be real or fake. If they're real, keep in mind you will want to buy and put together the floral piece the day before so it looks best.
4. Start Putting On Your Flowers
Once you have your florals picked out, then the real fun starts! You can attach the florals in many different ways, by using hot glue or floral wire. Floral wire would work best for really flowers and for fake either works great. Start placing flowers around the arch and be sure to fill in all the spaces so you aren't able to see any of the pool noodles. We recommend making piles of each different flower and spreading them out along the arch one type of flower at a time. This will ensure you don't have way too many of one type of flower in an area.
5. Enjoy!
Once your florals are laid out and attached to the arch you are all set. It will be the perfect backdrop during your ceremony and will make for some gorgeous photos. Once your wedding day is over you could try to sell it, or even save it to be used as a photo backdrop for your next party!
