Planning a wedding at WaConDa Woods & Gardens is beautiful, but it can be easy to miss some of the small details throughout your planning process. We are here to help you through your wedding planning process and want to make sure you do not forget any of the small details on the best day of your life. These small details can really help ensure your day goes smoothly - follow along to find out some of those small details some people tend to miss!

Information for Your Guests
Signage: Signage is always great to have for your wedding. Directional signs to your venue, restroom signs, and signs that point to the ceremony are always helpful to ensure your guests know exactly where to go.
Transportation: Having transportation lined up for your guests at the end of the night can be very beneficial. This way, they don't have to wait for an Uber to get to the hotel, and you can ensure everyone gets there safely.
Restroom Amenities: Guests often forget little things and then are scrambling to find hairspray or a clothespin for their dress. Having a small basket in the restroom with these little things can go a long way for your guests.
The Behind-the-Scenes Details
Meals for Your Vendors: Your DJ, photographer, and videographer are running around and working hard throughout your wedding day. It is always a nice gesture to ensure they are fed, just like your bridal team and wedding guests. We like the unwritten rule "vendors eat when the wedding party eats".
Setup/Teardown: While you are getting ready for the biggest day of your life, who is ensuring that each detail in the reception space is to perfection? Who is lighting the candles? Who is picking up at the end of the night? Ensure you assign someone to do all these small things before your wedding day starts, so you don't have to sweat the small stuff.
Day of Emergency Kit: Assign someone to pack an emergency kit for the wedding day that includes things like bobby pins, pain reliever, and deodorant.
Set the Mood
A "Getting Ready" Playlist: Have someone (or yourself) make a getting-ready playlist to listen to while you are all getting ready on the morning of your wedding. Find songs you love that put you in the mood. It can really set the mood for the day!
Lighting: As the sun sets at WaConDa Woods & Gardens, the lighting changes. We will take care of dimming the lights and turning on the outdoor patio string lights to set the mood for the evening.
The End of the Night
Designate someone to gather your things at the end of the night. Have them grab any money from the dollar dance, gifts, and any of your belongings that you brought into the venue.
Planning a wedding takes time, but by focusing on these small details, you can ensure the perfect wedding day. For more tips, tricks, and to start planning your perfect day, check out our other posts on the WaConDa Woods & Gardens blog!
