After 10 Years of Dating - High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot

MaKenna and Andy met just down the road from our venue, at Lake WaConDa, when they were just 13 and 14 years old. After nearly 10 years of dating, Andy asked MaKenna to marry him on a family vacation in Kauai, Hawaii. "I knew it was coming,” MaKenna shared, “But I was trying not to get my hopes up that it was going to happen on this trip, but I was surely praying it was going to".

MaKenna and Andy compliment each other on so many levels. MaKenna prefers to plan things months or even years in advance, while Andy enjoys doing things on a whim. Andy is outgoing, while MaKenna is calm and collected. MaKenna tends to focus on the little details, while Andy ensures they both see the bigger picture.

MaKenna and Andy enjoy traveling together, being outdoors whether it be grilling on their patio or going for a bike ride, and most of all spending time with their two dogs chocolate lab, Cruz and golden retriever, Maui. They say aside from the title of husband and wife, their most favorite title is Cruz and Maui's mom and dad.

The Larsens wedding day began bright and early where the girls got their hair and makeup done, enjoyed some breakfast, and jammed out to Hannah Montana in the bridal suite. The boys arrived mid-morning and spent the early afternoon playing bags and reminiscing on their friendships in the horse barn/grooms suite at the venue.

Shortly after lunch, it was time for MaKenna to get into her gown covered in delicate 3-D florals. Andy wore a Carmel suit that screamed warm fall wedding day. They met each other for their first look under the trees. They each shared with each other a beautiful letter they wrote earlier that day (cue the tears). The anticipation was real when it was ready for them to turn around and see each other for a first look.

At their outdoor ceremony space surrounded with trees and the golden sun, their closest friends and family surrounded them. MaKenna and Andy chose to write their own vows to read to each other which made everyone laugh and cry many happy tears.

Once MaKenna and Andy were officially husband and wife, it was time to celebrate!

At their reception, just steps away from their ceremony it was decorated timelessly with the sweetest touches. Camel table cloths were paired with beautiful mauve runners, an array of floating candles and candle sticks on some tables, and show stopping floral arrangements on the others. With big statement pieces like a neon sign and a mirrored seating chart, there were also the sweetest details like thank you notes with each guests' name and signature drinks named after their dogs that were paired with drink stirrers with their dogs' sweet faces on them.

Parents, MOH and best friend, Best Man and MaKenna and Andy each gave meaningful toasts following dinner. When the toasts were concluded, MaKenna and Andy snuck out for sunset pictures and returned to cut the cake.

Then it was time for the dances - mother-son, father-daughter, and the Larsens first dance as newlyweds. They had their first dance to Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban.

Then it was time for everyone to get on their dance floor!

The night ended with a little flash photography session and a private last dance to Snow Patrol by Chasing Cars.
